Prima doll Shadow Boxes

 Hey peeps!

I participated in another swap at MAS (I know...I said no more swaps...just a few...okay? Heehee) and we had to make shadow boxes and include a Prima doll on it.  These are really "windows" because there are no other parts to the "rectangle" we formed on top of the tag.  So here is what I made:

This tag "shadow box" was made using DCWV papers, a flower I received in a RAK from Ms. Dee; foil words from a swap on Swapbot.com some years ago and some other things from my stash.  The image is from Dover Publishing - cute isn't she?

I love the vibrant orange mixed with the pink.  I made the shabby chic flower and the words (laugh, grow and believe) are epoxy stickers.  The little chipboard sign near her compact says: "It is better to travel well than to arrive."--Buddha.

This one has that travel look about it.  I made the shabby chic flower, added some of this and that to make it look less empty.

I used Bona's (LiveLoveScrap on UTube) technique for the shadow boxes.  I'd created one using a Magnolia image (see a previous post for this month).

Thanks for looking!

Happy Crafting! :~)

Something Sew Nice for a Friend in the UK

Wazzz up y'all!?

I have something to share that I made for a special lady who made some incredible prizes for me that I won on her blog some years ago.  It took me awhile but I finally found something I thought she'd enjoy.

This is Terri Anne and Jam - aren't they delightful? My first prize was a gorgeous box she created using fabric and embroidered the top.  It was on my shelf and I neglected to include it...but previous post will show it.
This is a junk journal that she can use to jot down this and that.  I included some vintage tags from the 1930's - all about fashion.  I tea and coffee dyed some pages and added to the book.  Oh...who is this for? Why, it's for the gorgeous, Mrs. A.!  She's a delightful lady whose blog is filled with creative treasures and plenty of wit about stories of her, Doc and her family - what fun I have over there and you will too - so pop on over and enjoy!

I have a few goodies I'm adding to her package...oh yeah...I better let her know...huh? ;-)

Happy Birthday Diva Star

Hey y'all,

I saw an image on Beebeebab's gallery one day and commented that the image looked like my girlfriend in San Diego.  She sent it to me.  I was so stoked - I made a card for Tracy for her birthday.

This is such a good likeness of her and purple is a color she loves.

Here's the inside.  She called me when she received it and loved it.  She's really the type of friend you want around - that's my girl! :-)

Thanks for taking a look - Happy crafting! :-D

DT Call at Little Blue Button Stamps

Hey peeps!

There's a DT call at Little Blue Button Stamps - click here to read all the details.

Little Blue Button Stamps has a fabulous blog with loads of crafty goodness.  They have a store with the cutest digital stamps...oh, yes, they do have rubber for those of you who love stamping on paper.  Me, I can't get away from digital - I LOVE digital.  Remember my shop back in the day...Tellen's Place Designs...<smile>  Okay, let me stop my memory lane dance...I am applying to be on this fabulous team of Little Blue Button Stamps.  I heard about it from JandSib80 from her channel, to which I subscribe.  She's a wonderful crafter and on their design team.

Here is a sample of my digital work that I'd like to show them:

I made this card using a "free" image I found on the internet of Marie Antoinette.

I was searching for "free" vintage images on the internet and found this corset.  This is a sign you can put on your desk.  See the note "will return shortly"? Cute, huh?

These "free" images were found on the internet when I was looking for something vintage for an altered ticket swap I participated on at MAS.  These, I am keeping for myself - will show the others at a later post.

This is a shadow box with Tilda - it's so cute.  This is something I found on UTube (Bona's channel).  Wouldn't this be cute to send to swap partners as a little gift?  The jute allows them to hang it in their craft room.

Little Blue Button Stamps would like to see your coloring techniques, so here are some of the images of Tilda (Magnolia stamps) that I have colored; waiting to be used in a project.  Coloring Tilda has allowed me to improve on my techniques.  It has been awhile since I used my Copics but it came back to me like riding a bicycle.  I love it!

So here are my projects that show a variety of my crafting skill with digital images.  I love working with digitals and hope that I get picked to be on their team.  They have a LOT of cute stamps I'd love to create around.

Check out my UTube channel to see more of the projects I've been working on.

Happy Crafting! :-)

Cute and some...

Hey there peeps!

The one thing about crafting that is always fun is being able to share your crafts with your blogging friends that you develop a "kinship" with.  Random acts of kindness (RAKs) are just that...and imagine when that special someone sends you something even better in return...

Audrey (cuteandsomeblogspot.com) is an awesome crafter! She also shares her talent with her followers with many tutorials and files - she's just totally a beautiful woman!  When I was "away", she had stopped by to let me know she was thinking of me.  I'd always wanted her to know how touched I was but wasn't able so when I became "abled", I sent her a little something.

This is what this beautiful lady sent me.  Isn't it fabulous!! I don't have any of it and take a look at the handmade bracelet - isn't it gorgeous! Woohoo!! I love bracelets!

Zoom in, if you can, and check out the little cupid she made with clay.  Aren't those flowers cleverly beautiful and those pins...oh yeah...I'm loving it!!

Thanks Audrey! :-)

Happy Crafting! :-D

Challenge for MsGardenGrove1's Etsy Store Grand Opening

Hey y'all,

I just entered a challenge on UTube for MsGardenGrove1's Etsy store Grand Opening! She is giving away $100 and all you need to do is alter a glass bottle.  Here's what I submitted:

I used ecru yarn to crochet the flower on top of this jar (a Nescafe' jar) and plenty of lace that I received from a swap and pearls from Ms. Dee (Dee's Special Things).

Of course, I had to make a blue one with gingham ribbon, and stickpins for the pin cushion I made on top.  The dangle adds to the beauty of this shabby chic altered glass jar.

You can view my video here or Annie's (Ms Garden Grove 1) to find out more about the challenge and Annie's new Etsy store (or click on the links as highlighted).  She has awesome trims and floral lovelies that will keep you from guessing what to use in your crafty projects.

Happy Crafting! :-)

WOMDT

Hey peeps!

I thought I'd share my messy desk...I'm working on so many projects...

Yep, I pulled the Copics out...not many but they do the job.  Under the white paper are the components to a "Junk Journal" I am making for a friend who made some beautiful handmade gifts for me.  I have to shop for a few more goodies to add to her package and off it will go...snail mail style.

I am going to apply for a design team position with a fabulous company that has digital and rubber stamps.  I really love coloring and working with digitals in crafting.

In the right corner are my Prima dolls that I am paper piecing; making a bunch of tags for a swap.  One will be used to show the company I'd like to design for some of my work.  If you can zoom in, you will see that I've learned to make my own texture paste and apply it.  Coloring it is another matter.  ..I'll keep you posted.

What's on your desk?

Thanks for looking and happy crafting!
