Christmas Mini Swap

Good morning everyone!

I have missed hopping around like I was once able to do. I will have to get that done some time this weekend - so don't despair, I'll be around to your blog before Christmas...teehee....

This is a mini that I've made for my partner, Ms. Dee. We decided to do a swap between the four of us and it has been great because we have knowledge of he person and it helps knowing this and that about the person when completing these little beauties.

Ms. Dee has been crafting much longer than I have so I wanted her mini to be spectacular as she always creates magnificently. You can see a sneak peek of the mini she made for me by clicking here.

I totally copied this gate fold template from Lia, my uber talented friend and sweet Georgia peach! She loved the way it turned out, so I feel quite happy to send this to Ms. Dee. I'm adding a handmade item to her box, so she'll get it before Christmas. This was so much fun.

Now what have you been up to? Keep safe y'all!

Happy Crafting! :~)

Birthday Fun....

Hello everyone,

You know, I have had a busy two weeks, of which compiled my birthday and shopping on Black Friday - can you believe there was a line at Michael's!? :-)

So the girls (Lia & SuzyQ) really made my birthday peachy keen! I am so blessed to have two such wonderful friends - who are also very talented. Yes, I will be scrap lifting all of these gifts...heehee...I just love the blue Lia achieved with this fabulous box and the princess pillow with the charms...just incredibly delicious!

They took me to lunch at a swanky restaurant where we dined on seafood - including alligator! Yum, yum! Then, they showered me with more gifts!

Suzy and Lia really spoiled me didn't they? Oh yeah, baby!

That Thursday, my actual birthday, Suzy took me to my favorite restaurant and gave me one of my favorite TH's products. Saturday was the big day of fun and shopping. Can you believe we did the shopping thing again that next weekend? Woooo...I'm bushed...but what fun!! These girls are the best --- in more than just giving gifts!

Thanks for looking! Happy Crafting! :~)

Crafting

Good morning everyone,

Although I no longer design at The Shack (since October), I do have lots of things I did make and can show you:

This was with a brayer technique where you ink up the background and using the VersaMark ink pad, I added butterflies. I embossed them with clear embossing powder so that they look translucent with the background ink. I thought this came out rather well.

So what have you been up to?

Greetings Y'all...

Good morning sweet bloggers!

I know I haven't been around much but crafting is still part of my daily routine. Thanks to all of my special friends who drop by leaving all the lovely warmth - it just makes my day, y'all! Here's something I made this summer - a good little treat for gifts during this upcoming holiday season.

These are post-it-note holders - aren't they cute? You could have these on your desk or by the phone in your kitchen to jot down notes. They are so easy to make, too (check out Split Coast Stampers Resource Index).

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Crafting! :~)

What's Happening?

Good morning lovely bloggers,

You know I have been doing a little bit of this and that. I've just gotten myself certified - yes, I'd heard about it from a fellow blogger and when I met Suzyque, she gave me the site to go to. I filled out the application after reading what it all entailed and guess what...I took the course - about 4 hours and I'm now a Certified Scrapbook Instructor (CSI)!! How cool is that?

I am most proud of this particular layout because when King Mufasa saw it, he commented how "cute" it was. This is a joy coming from a man who thinks my crafting is not the most cost effective hobby I could have engaged in. I'm going to be making more defined layouts - so stay tuned.

Happy Crafting! :~)

Mini, mini, mini....

Hey y'all....

Well hello there! I hope this Friday finds all of y'all enjoying the day and loving the weekend that's coming! I've been busy...wanna see....*big smile*

This charm swap was over at The Shack and let me tell you - it was lots of fun. It was a "junk" theme and you can see my junk - the pink flamingo, the paper clip clef, the baby rattle and much more. This was our August swap - for September, we are doing diamonds and pearls (faux, of course). Way cool, huh?

Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!

Swaps, swaps...swapping...

Good morning y'all,

Don't you just love swapping? If you've never been bitten by the swap bug, watch out because it is mighty catching and so hard to stop. While we are working on the cigar box for #3, let me show you the one I received for #2 from lovely Francine:

Link

The theme was a sewing box and I couldn't believe how well she captured this for me because I love to sew. I haven't in years - but this took me back - look at all the details. You can actually hear me screech on my UTube channel.

She personalized it so well - I just love every nook and cranny.

Look what I sent my partner:

I really enjoyed using these lovely papers I found at HL. Personalizing this for her was a scrap lift from my box I received...heehee....

I saw another person doing these compartments inside her box for her partner and decided to scrap lift that too...heehee....all in all, I thought it came out pretty cool.

Thanks for stopping by. Y'all have a great week!

Happy Crafting! :~)

Delicate and Elegant...

Happy Friday y'all!

How's everybody doing? I'm getting all caught up on things and go visiting...fun, fun, fun! But let me show you another fun thing I learned at The Village.

Our delightful Lia (A Piece of my Scraps) and lovely Ms. Dee (Dee's Special Things) both uploaded a fantastic dress form pattern for us to use.

I'm entering these dress forms into the following challenges:

**Charisma Cardz** - Anything Goes

**Flutter by Wednesdays** - Butterfly, fairy or Angel --- top dress form has blue butterfly

**Little Darlings Challenges** - Pleats or ruffles

**Paper Pretties** - Anything But a Card

We all came up with many renditions of this fun design. Here's one my buddy, Suzyque made:

Suzyque even made the flower on the bodice of this dress form - pretty cool huh? Stay tuned because I'm going to make some of those beauties!! ;-)

Happy Crafting! :-)

The Pins Have It...

Hey y'all!

I hope everyone is doing well as we come to the end of summer and most of y'all have got the kidlets in school. Woohoo...time to get on with the crafting huh? I've been having a blast over at Stampin' Dymonz Scrap Shack making things that I never would have thought of...check out my latest creations:

Blue, the color that I love...these quilt blocks worked perfect for these pin cushions.

Think pink - with added swirls, everything was made pretty.

The orange is so cool - the matching pins really set the tone.

You can't go wrong with black - add organza ribbon and elegance is right around the corner.

It may not look it but this is purple - with the added roses, it became gorgeous!

I just loved the yellow - with the pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty, it just became super lovely.

White became like a cute little wedding favor - I really loved the organza floral from Pizzazz Aplenty. With the added organza ribbon and tule, this became an elegant pin cushion.

I had fun making these and you can find the tutorial from our lovely Ms. Dee on her UTube channel and you can see more at The Shack.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look - have a great weekend! :-)

A New Challenge at Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space

Good morning everyone!

Today we are happy to present a new challenge over at Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space! This week, we made a tag using this sketch:

Here's my take on this challenge:

Your tag must have a functional folder on the front and the piece of paper inside of the folder must be in the shape of a tag.

This week's challenge will have you put your spin on this sketch, including the following elements -- your tag must have a functional folder on the front and the piece of paper inside of the folder must be in the shape of a tag. I used DCWV Lemon Flower matstack and DCWV Tradewinds card stock matstack.

There should be space on the tag for a small photo and some journaling. This space can be on the inside and/or the outside of the folder and/or the inserted tag.

Why not join us this week? Put your spin on this sketch. Check out Stampin' Dymonz Creative Space for more details and get your chance to win a fabulous prize!

Happy Crafting! :-)
