Something Really Cute...

Good morning lovely crafters!

I hope you are having a great start to your week! I am!

I really miss taking card class from my friend, KT. She has a great blog with really cute and crafty cards for all occasions. She made a really great card that stayed in my mind. Check her blog and see what I mean. It is just too adorable. This morning, she show cased another like it for Halloween and included the tute in one of her posts.

I just had to try it, myself. I was thoroughly surprised that it actually came out. Did I ever tell you that I had trouble making the easel card and have never tried to do one again (but I will try one day)? Well, this little baby gave me a little trouble folding the step and aligning the drawers right.

I inked the outside of the card and the drawers with TH's antique linen distressing ink. The paper on the side is old - can't remember where it's from. The inside was inked as well and the scallop punch is from Stampin' Up! I used my SU! flower punch on the left side and my MS iron gate punch on the right side. The sentiment was printed from my computer. You can bet I'll be making a few more of these.

I hope you liked this - would love to see yours if you make one. Have a lovely day! ;~)

Beary Cute...

Greeting everyone!

Happy Friday! I bet you're ready for the weekend! :-) I have a cute card to show you today and I'm sure you'll think it's the cutest.

This bear is from Di's Digi Downloads. I won a bunch from leaving a comment on a lovely person's blog, whose name escapes me at the moment (sorry). Isn't it fun to win cute digi's? I just love Di's digitals - she is truly a very capable artist. Check out her store and see for yourself.

I punched a flower and added punched butterflies with a simple velvet bow at the bottom. I just love these papers - they are 2 sided and I was able to punch a border with my iron gate punch Sandra sent me - doesn't it make a nice contrast on the card? I used Stickles to make the flower and butterfly dance with the pearls down the middle.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

*Just Cute Bears* - "Punch It"
*Meljen's Designs & Challenge* - "Autumn Colors"
*Papertake Weekly* - "Animal Magic"
*ABC Challenge* - "D is for Distressing"

I hope you had a wonderful week and will enjoy a fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting! ;~)

And the images made into cards....

Hey y'all,

Did you have fun playing the little guessing game? Here are the cards that I practiced coloring after my Copics Certification class.

The image is Ally from Tellen's Place Designs. You can see on the dress that I blended two Copics together. There are no hard lines as before I didn't know to blend the colors together. Yes, I still to practice so that it is well blended.

This little cutie is from Bugaboo Stamps. I did the same blending but as you can see, these are more blended with lines hardly seen.

This image is from Fred She Said. Again, the dress was blended well together and even her hair has two colors blended together. I still need to practice until I'm happy with the results but I must say the class helped a lot.

So who won? Heather of Heather's Coffee Break! I'm also going to send a little something to Mrs. A. for playing along. Could you both send your address to my email (terryoulboub@yahoo.com)!

Thanks for stopping by! ;-)

Fresh Brewed Designs...so much fun...

Hello everyone,

My friend, Heather, is the beautiful creator behind "Fresh Brewed Designs," a lovely digital stamp place and challenge blog. She has oodles of lovely digi's to ink up in her store and loads of crafty sales. She is currently having a mini release (September 18th -22nd). Check out her blog.

This is darling little Hannah Belle, her daughter...well, an image of her sweet little girl. Isn't she just precious holding that basket of flowers? I am such a fan of Heather's images. They are easy to color and with fun details to bring out the deliciousness in the image. This was a fun card to create; added a corner piece with my MS Iron Gate border, a ribbon, and pin that I clipped and turned the end up into a loop. Butterflies finish off this little goody.

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

*Craftalicious Challenge* - "Thanks"
*Creative Card Crew* - "Autumn or Fall"
*Cute Card Thursday* - "Tweet & Flutter" (bird or butterfly)
*Stamp Something* - "Digi" (paper, image or embellishment)

Have a look at Heather's wonderful blog and her store - she has a lot of fun images to work into your crafts. She's also on Crafter's Digital Art Center with a freebie up for grabs and a challenge! So why not join in and have a little fun! ;-)

Happy Crafting!

Guessing Game

Good mornings lovely bloggers,

I have something fun today! I've been practicing with my Copics every chance I get and thought I could have a little guessing game. Wanna play?

I had come across a blogger who mentioned that she colored her images ahead of time and then when it was time, created her cards/paper projects. I thought what great time management that was and started to do the same. Some of these were colored BEFORE my Copics certification class. Can you tell which ones were?

Tell me the THREE images that were colored prior to the class and I'll send the winner a lovely RAK. I will announce the winner (the one with the most correct answers) on Monday.

Thanks for stopping by and playing! :-)

Sweet Fun...

Good morning fellow bloggers,

I first caught sight of Sarah Kay images on the free digital stamps blog and then you couldn't find them anymore. But my blogger friend, Donna, was selling them on her blog and I was lucky to nab them. Here's just one that I created using my Martha Stewart papers.

Isn't this just the cutest little girl with those little chickies? I'm a city girl but I imagine what fun it must be to hold a little chick in your hands, all cute and fuzzy! Don't you love her little straw hat? She's definitely a country gal with those cute patchwork overalls. I used my MS border punch from my blogger Diva friend, Sandra. I saw her use it on the corners of her card and the effect was so cute, I just had to try it. The pin below the ribbon was a sweet treat from a swap buddy (Irene).

I really like this card and hope you do too.

Updates

Good morning sweeties,

Yesterday was a long day in class but I'm happy to say that it was well worth it. Jennie was the Copics Instructor and I couldn't have been happier. She has a fantastic blog and she's a dynamite teacher who knows what she's doing! She's so much fun and won't put you to sleep!

If you get the chance to attend a Copics Certification class, it is worth every penny. We all got a Copics pouch filled with Copics that match so that you can go home and practice. Inside was also a colorless blender and reinker - how cool is that? Lots of Copics! I now own 40 Copics (compared to some in the class who own 300 and more -- what joy!).

As you can see, I learned new techniques - feathering and blending. This is important in coloring with Copics for me. I still need to practice, of course, but I'm getting it! The two classes I took previously, I just didn't get it. With practice, you get it! :-)

Have a lovely day! ;~)

Off to Class Today...

Good morning y'all!

I'm off to my Copics Certification class this morning with two lovelies that I met at a class at the local craft store. KT was the teacher and a fabulous one at that. I've learned so much from her and she has a fabulous blog. Alice, her helper, is coming as well! How cool is that? Alice is KT's helper - she would have all the cards and papers cut for us so that we could just dive in, following the instructions...and help us "oldies" when we got lost! LOL!

This card was a delight to create. Isn't the paper just fabulous? I received it in a swap and boy was that exciting! The cupcake die cut is from K&Company though I had purchased the cupcakes after getting the paper. I sprinkled diamond dust all over the sweeties. My new Stampin' Up! scallop punch was used to place the sentiment (used another Stampin' Up! punch). The image is a Tellen's Place Design image - isn't Jessica cute? We have a challenge happening right now - "Anything Goes" and this card would fit...go check it out. :-)

With so many digital artists in the digital universe these days, I've decided to promote my challenge blog more as well as some of the other digi's I've grown to love, so stay tuned - maybe I'll tap into a favorite of yours!

A Cuppa

Good morning!

What a beautiful day to start the weekend!

My friend Heather is an artist and she creates the most fun digital images that I've had the delight to play with. Right now, she's having a fabulous "Hot Coffee and blog hop" to celebrate her latest image release. As usual, these images are sensational! You'll have to check out her sexy and sassy gal - she's fabulous!

I made my card with her "Autumn Leaf Mug" she gave me and I'm going to enter it into her challenge - how cool is that? The winner will receive two FREE images of her choice! I'm in! :-)
I'll have another card with one of Heather's lovely images on the weekend - so stay tuned!

Happy Crafting! :~)

What are you working on?

Hello lovelies,

I really enjoyed reading everyone's response to my posts asking if you ever get tired of the same thing. Many of you do a lot of the things I do like crocheting and other crafts - that is so cool. Some of you don't get bored so easily like me - lucky you and then some of you work on many projects at the same time...I wish I could do that. I'd never finish them. Haha

I finished the afghan on Sunday evening. I have one skein of yarn left over - I'm going to make something with that and will show you later. I'm going to start another one (gotta keep busy).

Look what I've been up to:

I got this idea from Mrs. A. She's doing a Christmas matchbox swap. It was closed before I could enter. But I wanted to make these little darlings. So a friend called and I told her about it and guess what, she's going to get 25 of these, filled with chocolate. Oh yes, all 25 are done. I have put numbers on so the girls can take a goodie from each box (starting December 1st).

My next project? I'll show you later. What are you working on?

Thanks for stopping by - I do appreciate your comments and sharing! :-)

Something Different

Happy Friday!

The sun is back blazing above and I haven't any relief from it in this tiny little cracker box, but onward I go, trying to make the best of things.

I think I've mentioned how easily bored I get...what about you? Have you ever tired of making cards or doing the same thing? Well, I get ever so tired of the same thing quite quickly and have to switch it up a bit. That's why I like to do swaps - it takes me out of my comfort zone and to another place where I get to be creative and most of the time, it's a lot of fun.

I have been crocheting for 24 years and this shell patter is my favorite, as it is easy (5 dc in a sc, sc in 3rd dc of cluster, etc.). My first mother-in-law taught me to read a pattern and I've made teddy bears, dolls, pin cushions, potholders, doilies (with the very thin thread), scarves (with fun fur), and so on. This is what I started two days ago. Normally, one wouldn't make an afghan in the heat, but I need to change the pace between the mini albums, making cards, tags, and ATC's. I'll be done with it by the end of Ramadan (next Friday).

What do you do when you're tired of doing the same thing?

Thank you Audrey

Hey y'all,

You know I had been in one of those deep, murky funks and then y'all pulled me out. You know, that's the wonderful thing about blog land - you can count on your blogging friends to lift you up!

And guess what - I received another award...from Audrey! I love finding a way to connect and make new friends and this talented lady was kind enough to pass on the Cherry on the Top award to me. Woohoo...it feels good y'all, to know someone else thinks highly of you, doesn't it?

Audrey really is a talented lady. She has some really great crafts that she doesn't mind sharing with others. She's definitely someone to get to know! ;-) Thank you so much for this award, Audrey!

Winners!

Hey y'all,

The winners of the blog candy are:

This is the surprise package #5.

Since there were no other entries with Mr. Froggy, I will divide these two packages up between you three ladies. Please send me your addresses to my e-mail (terryoulboub@yahoo.com) so that I can get these in the mail to you before the end of the week. Thanks for entering my one year anniversary candy! :-)

Note: I hope I wasn't confusing with the candy but the post did say to enter using Mr. Froggy and only three people entered so even though there were more comments, I'm hoping everyone understood to use the Link thingy. If I did confuse you, please send me a note and I'll send you a package to make amends for the confusion.

Have a wonderful day! ;-)
